This information is updated as new policies and actions are approved, or as deadlines change.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"expandable-header\">SD CARES Housing Assistance Program<\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Click here for more information about <a href=\"\/es\/sdcares\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SD CARES Housing Assistance Program<\/a> (Rent or Utility Assistance)<\/span><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This program has been extended until 2022.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"expandable-header\">Child Tax Credit&nbsp;<\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Child Tax Credit will provide between $3,000 and $3,600 per child age 17 or younger, to nearly all working families.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">For the first time, families <em>will receive half of the Child Tax Credit in monthly payments through December 2021 and then receive a final amount at tax time in 2022.<\/em><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Families that filed taxes in 2019 and 2020 will, in most cases, automatically receive monthly payments of $250 or $300 per child (depending on the child\u2019s age) from the IRS on the 15th of every month between July and December 2021.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Low-wage families that did not file a tax return in 2019 or 2020 must apply for these same Child Tax Credit funds through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freefilefillableforms.com\/#\/fd\/childtaxcredit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Non-filer Sign-up Tool<\/a> so<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">they can begin receiving payments.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">More information from the IRS is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/newsroom\/2021-child-tax-credit-and-advance-child-tax-credit-payments-resources-and-guidance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;
