How do you create an email address without a phone number?<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Both of the resources listed below:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">do not require a phone number or additional email to create an account<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">have a free version<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">can be used to send and receive email messages<\/span><\/li><\/ul><ol><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Gmail &#8211; <\/strong>Google will let you create an account, and skip the part about entering a phone number, although you must provide birthday and gender.<\/span><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gmail.com\">gmail.com<\/a> <\/strong><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Click \u201cCreate account\u201c<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Follow steps (and skip phone number)<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Then, agree to Google\u2019s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Tutanota &#8211; <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mail.tutanota.com\/signup\"><strong>https:\/\/mail.tutanota.com\/signup<\/strong><\/a><\/span><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Choose free subscription<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Provides recovery key<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Must be 16 years of age or older<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Note &#8211; By default, every message is password secured, and a password must be known to both the user and sender. To turn this feature off and send messages that do not require a password:<\/span><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Temporarily turn off: when sending an email, click the little red \u201clock\u201d icon<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Always turn off: Settings&gt;Email&gt;Default delivery&gt;set to \u201cNot confidential\u201d<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>ProtonMail &#8211; <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/protonmail.com\/signup\"><strong>https:\/\/protonmail.com\/signup<\/strong><\/a><\/span><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Choose free plan<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Recovery email is optional<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Please guard your email address and password carefully. Consider writing them down and keeping them in two safe spots. If you forget your email address or password, or someone logs in with your information, it is nearly impossible for you to get back into the account. That means you may be locked out of other accounts that rely on that email address such as your smart phone, bank accounts, streaming subscriptions, job application websites, or someone may use your account to steal and use your personal\/financial information.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Some email accounts use two factor authentication which means you must use the same phone number that you did when creating\/signing up for the account, in order to log-in\/recover\/get in to the email account.
