Volunteer of the Month nominations open

For 15 years, the Helpline Center has been recognizing a Volunteer of the Month in the Black Hills, Brookings, and the Sioux Empire. Agencies and/or individuals are invited to nominate the amazing volunteers that make our community strong. Helpline Center honored 80 volunteers “Sowing the Seeds of Service”

Over 580 area residents, professionals and community leaders joined in the celebration of Sioux Falls area volunteers at the 2017 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Rapid City Spirit of Volunteerism Award winners named

 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards  More than 315 people, including local community leaders, non-profit agency representatives and business executives, turned out Tuesday, May 2, for the second annual Spirit of Volunteerism Awards luncheon at the Best Western Ramkota. Walks to raise awareness of suicide

In 2016, Helpline Center answered 1,538 suicide calls from South Dakotans. Each and every day, we provide hope, healing and critical support to those contemplating suicide or grieving the loss of someone to suicide.
